Mariolor is a recurring character created by Millivedder08. She is a Anatidae-like monster that lives in a cavern located in an isolated area of Waterfall. She is reputed as an ancient necromancer and one of the survivors of the surface war alongside Asgore and Gerson. She casually wanders around Waterfall and hypotetically other regions through the Underground desguised as ordinary monsters.
She is also featured on Deltarune as a returning character from Undertale, being found inside of Hometown's church.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Mariolor is a monster that resembles a Mute swan. She wears a great and dark hood that covers a great part of her forehead and that extends to the far end of her shoulders. She uses a long dress tinted in light and dark blue tones. She is shown to be as tall as Asgore.
Personality[]
Being a war veteran, Mariolor is shown to be morbidly stuck in her specie's tragic past. She is constantly seeing mirrorings of her past in the war, such as the Royal Guard imagery, the Delta Rune, the protagonist and even her own magic, with this being the main reason she decided to adhere a very reclusive lifestyle and abandon her closests relationships. For that reason, she has a strong misanthropic feeling towards humankind. Nevertheless, she still has a gentle, curious and serene personality repressed beneath her cold, distant and stern attitude, as well as a overwhelming feeling of missing of her past companions.
Abilities[]
- Dust Manipulation: Mariolor's signature ability is a magic that allows her to manipulate the dust that constitue other monters, which includes her own. Even so, in the first case, she can only take control of physically or mentally debilitate targets' bodies or body of targets that fully consent in being manipulated. She usually use her magic to give herself an initmidating form or even to disguise as other monsters.
- Precognitive Projection: She is able to project in detail small scenes from her distant past through areas like water or glass surfaces. When severely nervous or scared, she can involuntarily projects negative flashbacks towards her surroundings.
- Reintegration: Mariolor can reintegrate deceased monsters and revive them into a state of physical stability by manipulating their dust. However, the revived monsters are hardly likely to be exact copies to their past selves or even competent on fighting, as they are mainly based off on Mariolor herself and her personal perception and memories around them, which means that the more accurate her perception of her revived targets are, the more suchlike the resuscitations will be to their original selves.
Relationships[]
Asgore Dreemurr[]
Mariolor and Asgore were former war partners, and she currently lacks any interactivity or friendship with him due to her mental instability. Asgore is described by her as a kindhearted and loyal individual, but who has been terribly misunderstood and now lives caged in his own hell. Besides, even without her, it seems that Asgore stills cares about her, which is shown in he don't wanting her to get hurt by anyone who happen to find her, as stated by Undyne.
