Outcode!Mystitale Sans (nicknamed Mysti by the creator) is a character derived from the canon of the comic. The creator chose to make a 'fanon' version of him that wanders the multiverse, destroying AU's that don't support his AU's Gaster, and protecting those that do. The canon version of him is just a chill cultist who stays in Snowdin, almost never leaving. This version of him may be considered a Moderator or a Destroyer.
Biography[]
Canon Origins[]
Mystitale Sans is a version of sans that adopted the ideals of the Royal Scientist turned King, Gaster, of being equivalent to a god. Due to that, Sans became slightly more twisted, while remaining laid-back. He tries to become buddies with someone, then casually asks them if they wish to adopt his ideals, but he goes serious if they decline the offer. He on occasion will tamper with the Matrix, a glitchy zone where pure code lies, similar in appearance to that of a stereotypical computer screen whilst hacking. (green encrypted words flooding the screen)
Multiverse[]
This version, different from the canon, has a similar personality. The key difference is that rather than awaiting for strangers to approach him, he travels the multiverse to indoctrinate others into the cult, protecting those that accept while destroyers those that decline. None of this however, was ordered by Gaster, meaning Sans is doing this of his own slightly crazed volition. This Outcode version of the OC is free for others to use as they wish.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Both Mystitale Sans and the Outcode version have the same appearance. His physical appearance is similar to that of classic sans, except with some differences. Rather than being white, his eyelights differ in color; the right one being green and the left being dark green surrounding white. This is due to tampering with the Matrix. There is a scar over his right eye, from Gaster when he was first threatening the underground to obey him. He used Sans as an example. He has a spot of green glitch on his left 'cheek', also due to his tampering. Another thing caused by the tampering is his left eye always glowing a green, whether or not he's using magic.
He wears a basic sleeveless shirt, color similar to that of sage green. Below it, he wears a forest green shirt with very big sleeves, similar to that of a stereotypical cultist. It has X's running down the sleeves. Finally, he wears a dark green cape with a hood, and on the back of it is the cult symbol; a white circle with what seems to be green spiky wings, with a triangle below it. His hood is big enough as that it hides most of his face, allowing for him to have some derpy moments with it. There's a purple circle in the center of his first mentioned shirt, which serves no purpose.
Personality[]
Mystitale Sans' (along with the outcode) personality is similar to that of Undertale Sans'. He is chill, friendly, and enjoys jokes, but rather than death glaring you when he gets serious, he may use more severe methods such as torture or kidnap one of the person's loved ones as ransom. He's more deranged, in that he's easier to annoy, and if you annoy him, you'll likely regret it. One of his favorite hobbies is to play cards, and to read. He has a fondness for gambling of any sort, and will often take up a chance to gamble. He typically gets along with more destructive beings, but in general he's a relatively neutral unit with his own goals (except it's Gaster's goals). He deeply cares about his brother. He's also easily lost, he has no sense of direction.
Abilities[]
- Mana- he has limited energy, or mana, for his abilities; if he runs out completely, it takes him until he sleeps for more than 6 hours to fully restore the mana.
- Bones- he has bones similar to that of Undertale Sans, but his bones are made of pure code and can be used to target specific parts of ones code. He can modify the bones to be sharper, duller, poisonous, or even explosive. Each of the modifications uses up some of his energy.
- Knife- he has a knife he enjoys using, and he can channel green fire into the blade. Green fire is slightly hotter than regular fire, and he has the knife on fire for too long, it'll weaken the blade due to the heat.
- Shortcuts- he can, on command, use a 'shortcut', or teleportation to any place he's been to before.
- AU Hop- unknown to his canon self, he has always had the ability to go to a different AU. This is done via going into the code of his presence in the timeline and modifying it to another AU. He may do this to other people, but it depletes some of his energy.
- Blasters- he has blasters, like a regular sans, but their eye colors are that of his own. The blasters have a bit of a lag whenever they begin blasting, which may catch unsuspecting people off guard. It's about the normal strength of a regular gaster blaster, and it depletes a low amount of energy.
- Vial- he has a mysterious vial on him, no one knows what it does, but it certainly must be something big, especially with the aura it emanates.
- Into the Matrix- his strongest attack, it sends the target to the Matrix zone for an unspecific amount of time. Everytime he uses his ability, it corrupts him and his appearance more, as the Matrix is a vile, sentient area. Anyone who's there for an extended period of time may die at any point, or may escape extremely glitched. This attack is only for the strongest of enemies, and it can't send those that are way more powerful than him. (the strongest au it could send is likely someone with strength slightly less than that of ink sans) This attack has an extremely long cooldown and after he does it, he normally falls unconscious as it expends all of his energy.
Mystitale Relationships[]
Mystitale Papyrus[]
Papyrus is his brother, and just like most sans, he deeply cares about him. Unlike Undertale sans however, he might legitimately try to hunt you down if his brother gets severely harmed by you, let alone killed. This normally fails however, due to his horrible sense of direction. Sans helps Papyrus write his shady contracts for strangers to sign. He also helps his brother with pranking people, as well as pranking him as well.
Mystitale Gaster[]
Gaster is the one Sans essentially worships as a god, along with the rest of the underground, but this is merely a one-sided relationship. Sans admires Gaster and hopes to be similar to him in the future, but Gaster merely sees Sans as an extremely important pawn. If he were to stop doing his job, he would discard of him via public execution just like the rest.
Mystitale Undyne[]
He doesn't mind her, she's just a bounty hunter. Things do tend to get heated whenever someone is openly against the cult, they'll race to see who can catch the culprit first. This does typically end in an argument of some sort. He doesn't talk to her otherwise, it's a purely business relationship.
Mystitale Alphys[]
Alphys in Mystitale is a psychotic scientist, which sans dislikes. Ironic, because that's what Gaster used to be before he overthrew Asgore. Sans has never actually met Alphys, but based off what he's heard of her, he despises her. This shows clear bias for Gaster
Mystitale Asgore[]
He didn't know Asgore very well before he was overthrown, but he respected him. He thought he was a cool guy, trying to do what's best for monsterkind. Until Gaster indoctrinated the entire underground into his ideals, the person Sans respected most was Asgore.
AU Relationships[]
Ink Sans[]
They have not met in the Outcode!Mystitale Sans lore, but if they would, Mysti sans would likely take interest in ink, due to the fact they are both associated with a god complex gaster. Mysti would also likely question what is in those vials. If he were to ask Ink to join the cult, and Ink were to decline (he likely would), he would instantly back away from the relationship and turn on Ink. Same applies for all other AU's.
Core Frisk[]
Outcode!Mystitale Sans has met Core Frisk in the past, he finds them to be an interesting child. Since they're a child, he plans on bringing his Papyrus with him to attempt casually indoctrinating them, which will obvious fail. He's interacted with them, when he first found out he can use his powers to travel to AU's. Core Frisk think's he's certainly an interesting person as well, but they also believe him to be dangerous, and similar to nature of that of a ticking time bomb. They're careful not to mention the Omega Timeline to Mysti, since if they do, he will certainly wish to go there due to the vulnerability of the refugees there, making them easier to convert.
Swap Sans[]
If Outcode!Mystitale Sans were to meet Swap, he would think of him as a younger, more annoying version of his brother. Since Swap has the personality of Undertale Papyrus, Mysti could see the similarities Due to the fact that Mystitale Papyrus is a less innocent and slightly more deceptive version of Undertale Papyrus, he finds Swap Sans annoying. He will listen to Swap at times, but most of the words go in one ear and out the other.
Error Sans[]
If Outcode!Mystitale Sans were to meet Error sans, he would likely try to become chill with him, but not to convert him. He would see the destroyer, and respect him. He would try to crack a couple puns when he meets Error, as he would any other Sans, which would likely irritate Error (similar to the Fatal Error comic). They would likely fight a couple times to see who's stronger, which would result in Error prevailing every time.
Cross Sans[]
He would take interest in him at first, as he does most other Sanses, but upon discovering the X Gaster situation, he would be irritated at first. This is due to the fact that Cross would have rebelled against the cult-esque situation occurring in his previous AU. He would then realize that if Cross doesn't support X Gaster, then maybe he could support Mystitale Gaster? He wouldn't realize this for quite a while though. He would find Cross to be a bit of a nuisance, but once he becomes friends with him again, he'll on the regular tease him as if he were a child, knowing this'll likely irritate him. Mysti does enjoy messing with his friends after all.
Any other AU[]
The rest of them are purely hypothetical, and he would likely try to convert each and every one of them at some point. He would try to destroy those who disagree and protect those who agree.
Trivia[]
- Outcode!Mystitale Sans is separate from the Canon Mystitale sans, as he is a version of the canon version who discovered he can travel through AU's by accident.
- He disagrees with any other religion, and will often try to eliminate them.
- His favorite form of public execution is watching someone burn at a stake.
- He enjoys reading comics and will often be seen reading one. He especially enjoys comics of kids cartoons
- He will also often be seen talking about kids cartoons.
- He enjoys gambling, but its not an addiction either.
- He never takes off his cape, he wears it with pride.
