Red the Defender is an Out!Code version of Red who protects AUs from harm. Originating from an Underswap based world, a failed experiment the volunteered for trapped her between universes, with no way to return to her universe. However, she was saved from a lonely death by Toriel the Survivor Seeker and resides in her timeline now. Despite this and her mission to protect other worlds, she still searches for her old world.
Biography[]
Red originated in a version of Underswap where characters' personalities were kept intact, and while not working under her, she was close friends with Undyne. One day, the scientist invented a device that allowed transport between universes, in the hope of finding a world without a barrier. Red volunteered to test the device, but as she was halfway towards her destination, the device broke, stranding her in the seemingly endless nothingness.
She was left there for a while, and had already lost her hope of rescue when someone found her, someone resembling her queen. It turned out to be an Out!Code scientist Toriel who wandered the multiverse to take in survivors of attacks on their worlds. She took her in, and after hearing of the events going on in the Multiverse, Red expressed desire to help. Thus, Toriel taught her how to traverse universes.

Red has the same abilities as classic Red (though more powerful), though can now travel between AUs as well. Toriel also taught her fire magic.
